The Sci-Fi Film School #8 – Tron: Legacy

This time around Matt and Dave discuss the 2010 movie Tron: Legacy

Tron: Legacy – A sequel to the 1982 film Tron with Jeff Bridges reprising his roles as Kevin Flynn and CLU along with Bruce Boxleitner back as Alan Bradley and Tron. This movie also starred Garrett Hedlund as Sam Flynn and Olivia Wilde as Quorra.

In 1989, Kevin Flynn, the innovative software engineer and the CEO of ENCOM, disappears. Twenty years later, his son, Sam, now ENCOM’s controlling shareholder, takes little interest in the company besides an annual practical joke on the board of directors. One night Sam is visited by his father’s friend Alan Bradley, urging Sam to investigate a mysterious page originating from Flynn’s abandoned arcade. There, Sam discovers a concealed computer laboratory and unintentionally teleports himself to the Grid, a virtual reality created by his father.
