On his personal blog, Warren Ellis — known for his work on books like “Nextwave” and “Planetary” — announced that he had another Marvel Comics project in the works.

Ellis offered no details on what this new project may be and Marvel declined to comment. However, it may be safe to say that it won’t be “Daredevil,” as he wrote, “To address the question as best I can, the thought experiment would go, am I likely to have a different take from Frank Miller or Brian Bendis that would be both interesting to me and of a similar level of interest to Marvel? In the case of DAREDEVIL, I think the answer is probably no, don’t you?”

Funko’s new Batman Dorbz figures are Gotham’s cutest

On the teeny-tiny heels of those Guardians of the Galaxy figures, Funko and Vinyl Sugar have announced a Batman Dorbz series that manages to make even Killer Croc look cuddly.

Set for release in July, the series of 3-inch vinyl figures also boasts Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Harley Quinn and the Penguin, all sporting that irresistible smile. The Joker is curiously absent, but maybe he’ll pop up in a later wave.

Watch The Flash cast members sing the Firefly theme song a capella

The cast of The CW’s The Flash got together to sing an a cappella version of “The Ballad of Serenity,” the theme song from director Joss Whedon’s acclaimed sci-fi series Firefly.

Jesse L. Martin, Carlos Valdes and Rick Cosnett belted out the tune as a thank you to Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon. If you’re wondering why, it’s because they’re working on a short musical flick titled The Letter Carrier. They were trying to raise some funds on Kickstarter when Whedon came in and donated enough cash for them to reach their goal. In exchange, the trio decided to sing the song as a thank-you to the Buffy and Firefly creator. Isn’t this super sweet?

‘Arrow’ and ‘Flash’ go retro with Funko ReAction figures

Shortly after announcing a line of Batman Dorbz figures, Funko targeted The CW’s “Arrow” and “The Flash” for a new series of ReAction figures to be released later this year.

Arrow, Black Canary, the Dark Archer, Deathstroke, Flash, Reverse Flash and Captain Cold are among several characters from the shows that can be found in this ReAction figure lineup, which models its look on the popular action figure format from the ’80s and ’90s.
The figures will speed to shelves this July.
