George R.R. Martin reveals his next HBO project: A sci-fi-driven TV series

Remember a couple of years ago, when Martin signed a new deal with HBO that not only kept him tied to Game of Thrones, but also gave him the opportunity to develop a new series at the network? Well, now we know what that new series is. Martin revealed to EW that it’s called Captain Cosmos, and it’s tied to both science fiction and the early days of television.

Manned Mars Mission Plan: Astronauts Could Orbit by 2033, Land by 2039

At a news conference, representatives of The Planetary Society presented the results of a workshop organized to discuss the feasibility and cost of a crewed mission to orbit the Martian moon Phobos in 2033, leading up to a crewed landing on the Red Planet in 2039. They concluded that such a plan could indeed fit within NASA’s human space exploration budget.

VIDEO: ‘UFO’ caught hovering over Leeds city centre

The video shows the unidentified flying object flying at a steady speed above city buildings before vanishing in a sudden flash of light. The origin of the video remains a mystery, but coincidentally, the film was in the perfect place at the time of recording.

Watch the first trailer for Killjoys, Syfy’s new space bounty hunters series

The 10-episode first season follows a trio of intergalactic bounty hunters flying around the edge of space tracking down fugitives, and it stars familiar genre faces Aaron Ashmore, Hannah John-Kamen and Luke Macfarlane in key roles. The creative mind behind the series, Michelle Lovretta, also created the hit dark fantasy series Lost Girl.
