Adventure Party #19 – Reporting from Gen Con

In this meeting of the Adventure Party, we talk with Glenn who is at GenCon. He gives us insight into what GenCon is like, what surprises he found, what vendors brought their “A game”, the most talked about games at the convention, who he got to rub elbows with, and tips to make your future convention visits a little better. He even may have met some folks that could appear in a future meeting of the Adventure Party!

Glenn reviews The Builders: Middle Ages. It’s a game that is all about building, recruiting and managing your workforce. You keep building until someone gets 17 points. Then the round is over. You earn money and at the end of the game your score accordingly.

In the news, we discuss an article from Geek & Sundry, The Unspoken Rules of Gaming Conventions. These may be the five most important tips you may ever read to help make your next convention visit even better.

Our Kickstarter Spotlight shines on Ninja Camp. Anthropomorphic ninja clans navigate the board with the cards in your hand. Each ninja has a unique skill that gives them an advantage. It’s a family game that we think you’ll enjoy.
