The alien invasion in Josh Holloway’s Colony will continue in a second season

Lost writer Carlton Cuse and Ryan J Condal’s science fiction thriller was officially renewed by the USA Network on February 4th.

USA Network president Chris McCumber announced: “Carlton and Ryan have successfully delivered a story that tests the strengths and weaknesses of a society in duress, and the bonds of a family divided.

“Colony’s performance across all platforms has been impressive, and we can’t wait to see where the story takes us.”

Lost’s Josh Holloway and The Walking Dead’s Sarah Wayne Callies portray parents who are torn between the resistance and LA’s new alien overlords.

USA Network airs Colony on Thursdays in the US.

Dozens of UK sightings in North East ‘prove ALIENS exist’

Analysis logged by skywatchers Mutual UFO Network (Mufon) show as many as 18 incidents have been documented in the region since January, last year.

The ground-breaking claim is made by Hartlepool based alien conspiracist Glen Richardson, who said the sightings offer solid proof that we are not alone.

He said: “I have been investigating incidents for around 20 years now, I get about five pictures and messages about UFOs from across the North East and UK every week.

“It may be true that nine times out of 10 there is a scientific explanation but some things you just cannot explain.

The sightings included a supposed “teleporting man” to “white glowing object” that changed direction in the blink of an eye.

Another spotter said they had seen a silent rocket.

UCLA welcomes new course on the search for extraterrestrial life

Jean-Luc Margot, a space physics professor, will teach Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences “Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence: Theory and Applications.”

Margot said he hopes the course will help students build skills in computer programming, telecommunications and signal processing, so they can analyze data for the course’s projects. The course is related to his research in radio astronomy, a field that uses radio signal data to define space and planetary bodies across the universe. He added classes related to extraterrestrial intelligence are rare at U.S. universities because there is not a lot of research dedicated to searching for extraterrestrial life, which some scientists argue does not exist.
